NISEI WAR MEMORIAL
DENVER, COLORADO

“The principle on which this country was founded and by which it has always been governed is that Americanism is a matter of mind and heart; Americanism is not, and never was, a matter of race or ancestry.” (By President Franklin Delano Roosevelt upon signing the Executive Order that mobilized the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, US Army, in February 1943. The only All Japanese Unit during World War II.)

This highly decorated unit was eventually comprised of second-generation Japanese American men, serving during World War II.

Japanese Americans have served the United States of America since the Spanish American War in 1898 and continue to serve with distinction and honor in all branches of today’s current Armed Forces.   JARCC remains a constant supporter of the women and men who have served and continue to serve and protect our country.
