About

Our History

The Japanese American Resource Center of Colorado (JARCC) is a 501c3 organization that was formed in 2008 to fulfill a decades long dream of creating a place to celebrate and share the Japanese American experience in Colorado.

Our aim is to preserve, educate and communicate the Japanese American experience to ensure that future generations understand and appreciate the bravery and contributions of the Issei, Nisei and their descendants in Colorado.

Our legacy is ever-evolving with new generations of Japanese Americans and Japanese immigrants in Colorado, and with a growing interest in Japanese and Japanese American culture across the state. Through educational outreach, cultural programs, events and partnerships, and legacy preservation, JARCC strives to meet the needs of an ever-changing and diverse community.
